Gina Salá Benefit Concert
You are invited to join Gina Salá for her World Music & Chants Concert, a Benefit for Hanuman Maui @ Monsoon India
What started out in 2016 as a kind gesture, by Gina Salá and Daniel Paul agreeing to perform a private "House Concert" for Ram Dass in his intimate Living Room.
That afternoon became the impetus for the years that have since followed of overflowing full houses / over flowing gardens of enthusiastic friends and ecstatic Maui satsang..... that has turned into a coveted annual concert performance / fundraising benefit for Ram Dass's Hanuman Maui / Ram Dass Loving Awareness Sanctuary.
Gina brings her "World Music & Chants" Concert to Monsoon India in Kihei, Maui's preeminent gourmet Indian Eatery in an expression of gratitude for all the Donors / Attendees who will receive a delicious gourmet Indian Luncheon as part of this year's ambitious fundraiser for Hanuman Maui to support their efforts in preserving Ram Dass' Legacy here on Maui.
Gina will be joined by long time Maui collaborators, special friends, guest musicians Daniel Paul on Tabla and Don Lax on Violin .
Monsoon India is located oceanfront at 760 South Kihei Road, ground floor of the Menehuene Shores in Kihei, Maui.

ABOUT the RAM DASS LOVING AWARENESS SANCTUARY / HANUMAN MAUI
The Ram Dass Loving Awareness Sanctuary (also known as Hanuman Maui) was formed after Ram Dass left his body in December, 2019. It’s mission is to uphold his teachings of love, service and devotion.Ram Dass lived in his house in Haiku, Maui for over 14 years. During that time, his presence transformed it into a sacred space, a place to share unconditional love and devotion. During his years in the house, Ram Dass taught, hosted personal retreats, offered podcasts / webcasts and weekly Skype calls with his students. There was regular kirtan, meditation and special events at his home with the local satsang and visitors from throughout the world.
The vision of Hanuman Maui is to preserve Ram Dass's home as a spiritual sanctuary. They offer kirtan, personal retreats, workshops and other special events . The garden at the sanctuary has a heart labyrinth and a mango tree that was planted with some of Ram Dass’s ashes. Ram Dass’s energy can still be experienced in the house and gardens. The Ram Dass Loving Awareness Sanctuary looks forward to being able to share this special sacred space with the spiritual community for years to come.
ABOUT GINA SALÁ
Gina Salā is global vocalist, chant leader and teacher. Her repertoire spans 23 languages and performance credits include Cirque du Soleil, the United Nations, festivals and more. She has been chanting since her early childhood ashram years with Swami Sivananda Radha and deepened her practices in a nepal monastary and with her advaita (HWL Poonjaji aka “Papaji”), Sanskrit (Pt. Vagish Shastriji) and Dhrupad/classical Indian Raga (Pt. Ritwik Sanjalji) gurujis as well as other teachers and guides from around the world.
With warmth, humor and devotion, Gina has been helping people experience the power and pleasure of voice, mantra, sound tantra, classical raga and chant for over 25 years. She has lead international retreats and India tours for 16 years. Her monday chanting and harmonium classes, as well as her private sessions and her Awakening Voice Power of Love Sound School draw people from 4 continents. JOHN E. WELSHONS (Ramananda) is a highly respected contemporary spiritual teacher who lectures and leads meditation courses throughout North America.
Ramananda has been a practitioner of Vipassana (mindfulness) meditation and various forms of yoga for more than fifty years.
A close friend of Ram Dass, he worked with Ram Dass on a variety of projects beginning in 1973.
Ramananda worked extensively with Stephen and Ondrea Levine ("Who Dies ?" and "A Year to Live" ). He also studied with Dr. Elisabeth Kubler-Ross in 1976 when the "Hospice Movement" and Conscious Aging were just being awakened in American culture.
